Where does therapy take place?
I will visit you in your home as children are usually more relaxed in familiar settings
What will happen in a therapy session?
Each session will be a combination of working directly with your child, demonstrating therapy techniques and discussing activities you can carry out with your child on your own.
How much therapy will my child need?
The amount of therapy needed is different for every family. Children progress at different rates and parents' opportunities to implement the recommendations will vary.

I will make recommendations as to how to support you, but the number and frequency of sessions is up to you. However, I will advise you if I feel therapy can not be of benefit.
My child attends nursery/school. Can you advise staff ?
Yes, I can visit your child's educational or daycare setting and advise staff on how they can support your child.
My child has been referred to a Speech and Language Therapist on the NHS but there is a long waiting list. Can I access private therapy while I wait?
Yes, parents can access private therapy before NHS input or alongside NHS therapy. It is most beneficial if all professionals involved with your child can liaise to support you and your child.
How much does therapy cost?
Initial consultations cost £100. This initial session will be a combination of case history taking, discussion with parents/guardians of current communication skills and goals for therapy, observation, direct assessment, and demonstration of therapy strategies. This usually takes 1.5 hours
Follow-up therapy sessions cost £80 for each session, which last up to an hour.
The preparation and planning of each session is included in these costs. You will be sent an email after the session, summarising the recommendations that have been made.

An additional charge is made towards travel time and expenses. This will be discussed and agreed beforehand.
